There comes a moment in every believer’s life when enough has to be enough. There comes a time when we must stop accepting defeat, stop settling for less than God’s promises, and stop allowing the enemy to dictate the course of our lives. That time is now.
Get up!
The enemy has been fighting us hard. He does not want to see us prosper. He does not want to see our families healed, our ministries flourish, our businesses succeed, or our purpose fulfilled. His assignment is clear—to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Every day he seeks opportunities to discourage us, distract us, and convince us to give up before we ever reach the victory God has already prepared for us.
But the question we must ask ourselves is this:
Aren’t we tired of letting the enemy win?
Aren’t we tired of seeing witchcraft, demonic attacks, and spiritual opposition seem to have the upper hand? Aren’t we tired of constantly living beneath the promises of God? Aren’t we exhausted from watching generations remain in bondage while we possess the authority to pray, declare, and believe for freedom?
The enemy wants us to stay down because a believer who refuses to rise is a believer who never fulfills God’s purpose.
Far too often, we become comfortable in defeat. We grow accustomed to disappointment. We begin expecting failure instead of expecting miracles. We hear prophetic words over our lives, yet instead of partnering with God in faith, we allow doubt and fear to rob us of the manifestation.
But God never intended for His children to live defeated lives.
We serve the Most High God.
We serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
We serve the God who has never lost a battle.
If our God is undefeated, why are we living as though defeat is our destiny?
If our God owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), why do we continue to embrace a poverty mindset instead of trusting Him as our Provider? If our God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), why do we continue to limit Him with our unbelief?
The problem is not God’s ability.
The problem is that too many believers have forgotten who they are.
God has given us power.
God has given us authority.
Jesus declared in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I have given you authority… over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Notice that Jesus didn’t say some of the enemy’s power.
He said all.
That means the enemy has no final authority over your life unless you surrender your confidence and your faith. Satan is loud, but he is not greater than God. He is deceptive, but he is not sovereign. He may attack, but he cannot overcome those who remain rooted in Christ.
The enemy has no jurisdiction over a life that belongs to Jesus.
So why are we living as prisoners when Christ has already made us free?
Why are we speaking death when Proverbs reminds us that life and death are in the power of the tongue? We cannot expect to experience life while continually speaking defeat over ourselves, our children, our marriages, our churches, and our future.
Our words matter.
Our faith matters.
Our obedience matters.
It is time to stop agreeing with fear and start agreeing with God’s Word.
It is time to stop rehearsing defeat and start declaring victory.
It is time to stop magnifying the problem and start magnifying the God who is greater than every problem.
Some of us have stayed on the ground for far too long.
We’ve cried.
We’ve been wounded.
We’ve experienced betrayal.
We’ve suffered loss.
We’ve fought battles nobody knew about.
But hear the voice of the Lord today:
Get up!
Get up from discouragement.
Get up from fear.
Get up from disappointment.
Get up from spiritual laziness.
Get up from hopelessness.
Get up because there is still purpose inside of you.
Get up because your family needs someone who will stand in the gap.
Get up because your breakthrough is worth fighting for.
Get up because generations connected to you are depending on your obedience.
Get up because heaven has already declared victory.
Yes, the battle is real.
Yes, spiritual warfare exists.
Yes, the attacks are intense.
But our God is greater than every weapon formed against us. Isaiah 54:17 reminds us that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper. The weapon may be formed, but it will not succeed because God Himself stands as our Defender.
We must also remember that victory does not always come by sitting back and waiting. There are moments when God calls us to stand, pray, fast, worship, declare His Word, and refuse to surrender. Spiritual battles require spiritual weapons.
The enemy wants us silent.
God is calling us to speak.
The enemy wants us fearful.
God is calling us to be courageous.
The enemy wants us defeated.
God calls us more than conquerors through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37).
So today, make a decision.
No more living beneath God’s promises.
No more accepting defeat as normal.
No more allowing fear to control your future.
No more giving the enemy victories that belong to God.
Rise in faith.
Rise in prayer.
Rise in authority.
Rise in purpose.
The battle has already been won through Jesus Christ. Now it is our responsibility to walk in that victory every single day.
It’s time to get up.
It’s time to fight.
It’s time to believe again.
It’s time to declare God’s promises over your life.
It’s time to see the manifestation of what God has spoken.
The enemy has no jurisdiction over your destiny.
You are not defeated.
You are not forgotten.
You are not powerless.
You belong to the King who has never lost a battle.
So don’t stay on the ground another day.
Get up—and win.
