You Will Win Big: Standing firm in faith against the enemy

Life is a battlefield, and as believers, we often face spiritual attacks that test our faith and resolve. The enemy—Satan—is relentless in his attempts to discourage, distract, and destroy what God has promised us. But here’s the truth: no matter how hard he tries, you will win big. God has destined victory for you, and His Word assures us that we are more than conquerors through Christ (Romans 8:37).

The enemy is cunning, and his tactics are designed to wear you down. His primary goal is to make you lose sight of God’s promises and power. Let’s explore some of the ways he operates:

1. Attacking Your Focus
The enemy knows that a distracted believer is an ineffective one. He’ll use anything—worry, fear, or even busyness—to pull your attention away from God. You might find yourself overwhelmed with life’s demands, feeling too tired to pray or study the Word. But God reminds us in Isaiah 26:3 that He will keep us in perfect peace when our minds are steadfast on Him.
When you sense your focus shifting, it’s time to realign. Speak the Word over your situation: “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). Keep your eyes fixed on the victory God has promised.

2. Bringing Pain to Your Family
Many of us have experienced family struggles—arguments, misunderstandings, or even health crises. These attacks can feel personal and devastating. The enemy knows that when your family is in turmoil, it can be difficult to find peace. But remember, God is a God of restoration. Joel 2:25 says, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.” The same God who restores will bring healing and unity to your family.
Pray over your family daily. Declare God’s promises over them, and trust that He is working behind the scenes to bring restoration and joy.

3. Inflicting Pain and Suffering
Physical, emotional, or spiritual pain can leave us feeling defeated. The enemy wants you to believe that your suffering is permanent or that God has abandoned you. But even in your darkest moments, God is with you. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Pain is not the end of your story. It may be part of your journey, but God is using it to prepare you for something greater. Your current struggles are setting the stage for your breakthrough.

It’s important to remember that you are not alone in this fight. The enemy might try to isolate you, making you feel like no one understands your struggles. But God has placed you in a community of believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. Lean on them. Share your burdens. The Bible says, “Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

When the enemy comes against you, call on your spiritual family. Together, you are stronger, and together, you can remind each other of God’s promises and power.

The enemy may try to make you believe that your circumstances are hopeless, but God’s Word tells a different story. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Your trials are temporary, but God’s promises are eternal. He has already secured your victory through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. No matter what the enemy throws your way, you can stand firm knowing that the battle is the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Winning big requires spiritual preparation and action. Here are practical steps to stand firm against the enemy’s attacks:

1. Pray Without Ceasing
Prayer is your greatest weapon. It connects you to God and aligns your spirit with His will. When the enemy attacks, go to God in prayer and declare His promises over your life.

2. Arm Yourself with the Word
Ephesians 6:17 calls the Word of God the sword of the Spirit. Use it to combat the lies of the enemy. When doubt creeps in, speak scriptures that affirm God’s truth and your victory.

3. Surround Yourself with Encouragement
Stay connected to people who will uplift and strengthen you in your walk with God. Whether it’s your church, small group, or close friends, find a community that will remind you of God’s faithfulness.

4. Praise Your Way Through
Praise shifts the atmosphere. Even in the midst of trials, worship God for who He is and what He’s already done. Your praise confuses the enemy and strengthens your faith.

Revelation 12:11 tells us, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Your victory is not based on your own strength but on what Jesus has already accomplished. When you feel weak, lean into His strength. When you feel defeated, remind yourself of His victory.

The enemy may have tried to stop you, but he has already lost. The pain he caused will be used for your purpose. The distractions he sent will become stepping stones to your destiny. And the battles he waged against your family will lead to testimonies of restoration and breakthrough.

In this season, God is preparing you for a harvest beyond anything you can imagine. Stay faithful, stay focused, and stay in His presence. The enemy’s attacks are only temporary, but God’s promises are eternal. Keep pressing forward, knowing that you will win big.

Declare it over your life today:
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against me in judgment I shall condemn” (Isaiah 54:17).

Victory is yours—now walk in it!
