It was one morning at 5:30 am when I got up to pray the lord said to me read psalms 91. As I was reading I found myself going off into a worship and as I was worshipping the lord told me to read James chapter 1. As I began to read the scripture, a weight of oppression came upon me and I said to God “ It feels like I would never reach to that place you need me to reach “ because it seemed so difficult and every time I tried to see my way out it always seemed like something wass setting me back. I became so discouraged as I read James 1 and I heard the lord say “Go back and read again”. I began to linger before reading it again, I said God I need a way out because it seems like there is no way out and I heard the lord say to me “Read it again! “. I listened and I went into the book of James chapter 1 and verse one says “James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.” “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;”
as I read verses one and two, I said “ lord what it is that you are trying to say to me?” And he began to remind me of the challenges that are going on in my life he reminded me of the warfare, the tug a war and he said daughter of Zion counts it all joy when he falls into divers temptations. God said many of his people are crying, complaining, and getting frustrated when we go through and when the enemy rises up against us but God says my brethren count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations. God said to me daughter instead of complaining give me praise and worship instead of complaining pray, fast, stand, and having done all to stand still stand.
God says to count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations, count it all joy when the enemy rises up against you, Count it all joy when everything is going wrong count it all joy when everything fails you, count it all joy because God said when the enemy rises up against you then you will know that only him can bring you out. James 1 verse 3 says “knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” When we are about to go through, we don’t understand that it’s about our faith. The trying of our faith worketh patience God said to me daughter too many of my people don’t understand when I take them through it’s for them to prove me, when I take them through it’s for them to trust me when I take them through it’s for them to understand that I’m doing a work and that I’m getting ready to do something within their life.
God says that we are allowing the cares of this world and trials and tribulations to detour us but God said in order for us to get to that place that he needs us to get we need to count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations. Some of us struggle when it comes to having patience some of us struggle when it comes to waiting but God says if my people need to have patience. James 1 verse 4 says “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
God is saying let patience have her perfect work in us. Too many of us are rushing God because we are afraid we are going to lose our homes, our marriages or our car will be repossessed. Too many of us are rushing God because we are afraid that the sickness will kill us but I hear God say let patience have her perfect work. God said to tell you and me that he requires faith and patience. Too many of us want God to move in our time and we don’t want to trust God or stand on the Will of God. Too many of us feel like God owes us something, too many of us require from God but we aren’t giving him anything! We don’t want to pray, fast or read but yet we want God to manifest his glory and show up in our defense but we don’t want to hold firm to what God requires from us. All we want God to do is bless us but what are we doing what are we giving back to God? What is our sacrifice? What are we planting? All we want is the hand of God but what about his heart?
What about his face? What about his presence? We want God to ensure that our bills are paid but we don’t want to throw tithes and offering. We want God to cover our expenses but we don’t want to cover heaven. We need to let patience have her perfect work inside you and I. God says we require from him but we don’t want to sacrifice or labour. Some of us want God to move but God says that some of us aren’t ready yet. Many of us are not in a ready place and that’s why God requires us to trust him. Some of us want God to move in our time but we are not positioning or aligning ourselves for God to move within our life. You are saying God I need you to come through and God is saying let patience have her perfect work.
God says if I give it to you prematurely you will destroy it and mess up my name and kingdom but if you trust me and have patience you will receive it in the right time. We may not be able to trace God but we must believe that he is carrying us and preforming things for us. Too many of us are preaching the word and prophesying the word and our faith is not aligned with the word but God says if you hold firm and trust him and let patience arise in you and I, he will do it. God is asking us why are we not trusting him and holding to his word? God doesn’t want to give it to us prematurely he wants to give us a complete end. James 1 verse 5 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
You know why God requires us to ask for wisdom, it is because if we don’t have wisdom on what God is about to do in our life we are going to mess it up. If we don’t have wisdom in what God is about to do in our life we will sabotage it. If we don’t have wisdom with what God is about to do in our life we will bring disgrace to the body of Christ, and that is why God is requiring you and I to have wisdom. Many of us don’t understand what God is doing in our lives because we lack wisdom we don’t have knowledge or the understanding to know that God has a plan and a reason on why he is taking his time. We lack wisdom and understanding and that is why we are getting angry, frustrated and bitter because we lack wisdom but God said if any of us lack wisdom let us ask of him. Let’s go after wisdom because in wisdom it will teach us how to wait and be patient.
Having wisdom will teach us how to believe and stand firm on the word of God. Wisdom will teach us how to handle what God wants to do in our lives and where God wants to take us so let’s go after wisdom. We are hungry for everything else but aren’t going after wisdom but God says if we go after wisdom we will understand what we are going through and what we are faced with is not about us but it’s about what God wants to do in our life. If we go after wisdom we will understand that it’s a process to take us into a place of victory and a place of deliverance.
If we go after wisdom we would understand that God is not against us but for us, if we go after wisdom we won’t get angry with God we would understand even when the man or woman starts acting up it’s not about you and I but it’s about God. When the bills start acting up it’s not about the bills it’s about God. God is saying if you don’t go through something how can I prove myself to you if you don’t go through something how can you prove my power? If you don’t go through something how can I work miracles in your life, if you don’t go through something how will man prove who I am? How will you know who God is if God does not take you through something to deliver you?
How will you prove the power of this resurrection God? God says that many of us are in a place of doubt, confusion and bitterness but I encourage us to go after wisdom so that wisdom can teach us so that wisdom can correct us, and show us the right way. We must go after wisdom because it will teach us how to love how to have compassion wisdom will teach us how not to envy but to have a zealous anointing. Wisdom will teach you and me how to not speak against our brothers and our sisters and how not to condemn. Wisdom will teach us how not to think that we are better than the next person. So I tell you as God had taken me into the book of James he said if my people go after wisdom we will never go wrong in our walk with God. A lot of us are not seeking the voice of God all we want is a prophecy and a preached word but God says go after wisdom because when you seek wisdom you seek after him.
